Mike Scott retired from Dell Computer in 2014, where he served as Environmental Health and Safety Regional Manager for 12 years.  Mr. Scott received a bachelor’s degree in Geography from Texas State University, a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri.

Mr. Scott’s career includes ten years with the State of Texas as an employee with the Governor’s Energy Advisory Council, Governor’s Division of Emergency Management, and Office of the Speaker. In the private sector he was also an employee of Motorola for 13 years.

Mr. Scott’s wife Marilyn has both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Texas State University and currently teaches math at the 5th grade level in New Braunfels. Mr. Scott has two sons, Andrew, an Attorney in Houston and Kevin, who has both a Bachelor’s and Master’s from Texas State University and is employed by the City of Lakeway.   

Mr. Scott has participated and supported the National Geographic Societies’ Educational programs through the Geography Department at Texas State University. While at Motorola in Seguin he sponsored an Internship program for Texas State Geography Department Students.
