Zach Howard

Mr. Zach Howard is currently the Director of Business Development at JetRock LLC, an Austin based company that provides analytics services to the energy industry. Previously Zach has held various roles in technology and the oil and gas sector where he utilized his GIS education.

Prior to attending Texas State University, Zach spent a decade in the commercial construction industry working as a driller and laborer throughout the US, eventually relocating to Dallas TX to join a civil engineering firm. His interactions with fellow colleagues regarding higher education were impactful and influenced his decision to leave Dallas and enroll at Texas State University. Zach currently lives in Dallas with his wife Kristin, also a Texas State graduate, and their two Great Pyrenees Lady Bird and Layla. They are both active alumni, serving on several boards for the University including the Texas State Development Foundation. They return frequently to San Marcos for football games and other campus events throughout the year. 

Zach earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography with a concentration in GIS from Texas State University in 2005. He later earned an Executive MBA from Southern Methodist University in 2016.
