Frankie B. Mars | Undergraduate Research Fellowhip
Congratulations to undergraduate student, Frankie B. Mars for being awarded an Undergraduate Research Fellowship for his project "The Invisible (Trans) Men."
Award: Undergraduate Research Fellowship scholarship
Amount: $1000
Student: Frankie B. Mars
Project: "The Invisible (Trans) Men" explores the generational and locational changes between a fictional Black transgender man who grew up in the late 80s to early 90s in Brooklyn and me, a Black transgender man who grew up in the 2010s in a small town near Dallas. Through a series of letters between the two individuals 30 years apart, I will explore the challenges that still exist and the struggles that have been remedied over time.
